Exabeam Partners with Orca Tech to Accelerate Business Growth in Australia and New Zealand
FOSTER CITY, Calif. and SYDNEY, May 5, 2020 – Exabeam, the Smarter SIEM™ company, and Orca Technology (Orca Tech), the only value-added distributor in the A/NZ marketplace solely focused on cybersecurity and analytics, have signed an exclusive distribution agreement to accelerate Exabeam’s business growth in Australia and New Zealand.
Exabeam has been In the A/NZ market for the past three years, working with channel partners to augment legacy security information and event management (SIEM) tools through its Exabeam Advanced Analytics user entity and behavior analytics (UEBA) offering — and displace increasingly costly SIEM investments with the Exabeam Security Management Platform (SMP), priced by user rather than bytes.
Exabeam’s distribution agreement with Orca Tech will support the forecasted increase in demand from organisations as they realise the importance of, and begin to invest in, automated investigation and response to track lateral movement across compromised accounts.
“Asia Pacific is already among the fastest-growing regions for Exabeam in the world,” said Gareth Cox, vice president of sales, APJ at Exabeam. “The expertise and support that Orca Tech provides to our partners will help ensure our acceleration in the region continues, and in turn, drastically improve the security posture and SOC efficiency for all organisations in the area.”
Through this partnership, Orca Tech will be responsible for recruiting and training channel partners, to support Exabeam’s growth in new markets throughout the region.
Those partners will have access to the Exabeam SMP for next-generation SIEM and machine learning-powered UEBA. This enables enterprises seeking security intelligence to more rapidly and efficiently detect, investigate and respond to cyberattacks.
“Today’s threat environment puts security at the forefront of every organisation’s plan. Regardless of industry, security preparedness makes it easier to keep users and data safe,” said Aaron Bailey, CISO at The Missing Link. “The combination of Exabeam’s technology and resources with Orca Tech’s services and support is a win-win and will make it easier for us to focus on selling and growing our SIEM business.”
Offered in the cloud (hosted within country data centres) or on premises, the Exabeam SMP provides a data lake, behavioral analytics, case management, security orchestration and incident response automation, which drastically reduces time to investigate and contain threats by 51 percent. In addition, its analytics feature uses data science to identify employees’ behavioral patterns and abnormalities that may be indicative of security threats, in contrast to outdated signature-based detection methods.
“We’re pleased to partner with the leading vendor for next-generation SIEM and UEBA solutions. Exabeam completes a critical part of our security and analytics portfolio that we have been looking to fill with the right vendor partner for some time,” said Craig Ashwood, general manager at Orca Tech. “Exabeam’s cybersecurity expertise, commitment to its 100% channel model and work to develop strong programs for mutual success make it an ideal partner for the Orca Tech team.”
