Orca Tech signs on as local Cyber Risk Aware Distributor

Cyber security awareness training provider, Cyber Risk Aware, has struck an Australian distribution deal with local value-added distributor, Orca Tech.

Based in Ireland, Cyber Risk Aware specialises in integrated security awareness education and operates a simulated phishing and SMS phishing – or smishing – training platform.

The company already claims a user base that is numbered in the thousands, with the local partnership representing a further push in its ongoing international expansion.

The new deal will see Orca Tech focus on partner recruitment with local resellers and managed service partners, while providing lead generation to drive sales for its partners.

“We are excited to bring our partners a differentiated approach to cyber security for their customers,” Orca Tech general manager, Craig Ashwood, said. “To date, the interest in the Cyber Risk Aware solution in our partner community has been extremely encouraging.

“Our partners see the solution as filling a void in the market that enables them to capitalise on, without significant investment in developing their own tools,” he said.

For Cyber Risk Aware CEO, Stephen Burke, the new deal with Orca Tech represents an opportunity to establish a firm presence in Australia and tap into the local channel community.

“There are great opportunities for the channel as more organisations focus on the ‘human element’ of cyber security,” Burke said. “A key part of every security strategy and in meeting compliance obligations is educating employees on how to identify cyber threats.”

Just days ago, it was revealed that cloud security provider, Bitglass, had appointed Orca Tech as its first national distributor, as it launched its new Altitude Partner Program in effort to build up its momentum in A/NZ.

Part of Orca Tech’s remit is to help facilitate an increase in local channel momentum, marketing programs and incentives, regional scale, and overall operational efficiency.

In February, Orca Tech announced a distribution agreement with real-time IT analytics vendor, ExtraHop, with the deal seeing Orca Tech offer ExtraHop’s solutions across Australia and New Zealand.
